EUPA_NEXT presentation during the third conference on funding programmes from the Structural Funds and the European Union

1pinEUPA_NEXT was presented during the conference < Third Conference on funding Programmes from the Structural Funds and the European Union>.  The conference took place on the 1st of February 2017 at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia.

Companies and other organisations that are active in the areas of tourism, technology, agriculture, training, as well as small-medium companies and start ups participated in the conference.

The project EUPA_NEXT was presented by Ms Christiana Knais. EUPA_NEXT is based on the application of European Tools in the area of Vocational Education and Training such as EQF and ECVET.  During the conference hints and tips for submitting a successful application were also presented.

EUPA_NEXT t is funded through ERASMUS+ , Key Action 2- Strategic partnerships for innovation and exchange of best practices in the area of Vocational Education and Training.

EUPA_NEXT presentation during the info day of Erasmus+ in Cyprus

2pinEUPA_NEXT was presented during the info day for ERASMUS+ that was organized by the Foundation for the Management of EU Lifelong Learning Programmes in Cyprus (IDEP) and the Cyprus Youth Organisation.

EUPA_NEXT presentation in the annual Meeting of the National Team of ECVET Experts

3pinEUPA_NEXT project was presented in the Annual Meeting of the National Team of ECVET Experts with Multipliers from Erasmus+ Mobilities. The presentation was made by Volkshochschule im Landkreis Cham e.V. that is one of the partners of the project and it was addressed to VET providers in Europe as well as European Policy Makers.

The meeting was held in Germany, at the National Agency in Bonn on the 10/11/2016.

3rd Transnational Meeting of EUPA_NEXT

4pinThe third project meeting of the European Project EUPA_NEXT took place in Bratislava (Slovakia). The duration of the meeting was 2 days and it was hosted by ORBIS that is one of the partners of the project.

Representatives from all partners of the project participated in the third meeting.  During the meeting participants completed the qualification framework for administrative personnale and worked on the allocation of ECVET credits. Additionally, issues related the certification of curricula, training materials and assessment through ISO were discussed. Last but not least an action plan was set for the next six months of the project.

EUPA_NEXT has been approved by the Foundation for the Management of EU Lifelong Learning Programmes in Cyprus and it is funded through ERASMUS+ , Key Action 2: Strategic partnerships for innovation and exchange of best practices in the area of Vocational Education and Training.

2nd Transnational Meeting of EUPA_NEXT

pinThe second transnational meeting of the European Project EUPA_NEXT has been implemented in Larissa. The meeting had duration of two days, between the 13th and 14th of April 2016 and it has been held on the premises of DIMITRA Education and Consulting Organization which is one of the project partners.

Representatives from all partners participating in the project participated in the second transnational meeting.

Within the framework of the transnational meeting participants worked in various project deliverables such as Qualifications Framework developed by the project, the methodology for the use of ECVET units etc. Along with, the participants established the project action plan for the next 6 months.

The first Learning Activity for EUPA_NEXT

ForLearningActivity(new3)pinThe first Learning Activity for EUPA_NEXT Project has been implemented in Cyprus. The Learning Activity had duration of five days, between the 11th and the 18th of January 2016 and it has been held on the premises of MMC Management Centre, which coordinates the project. Representatives from all partners participating in the project participated in the first Learning Activity. During the Learning Activity, the participants analysed the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and they had the chance to be informed through presentations on EQF. Some of the partners have presented their National Qualifications Frameworks as well as the way in which they refer to the European Qualifications Framework.
Additionally, during the Learning Activity, the participants have analysed the main principles of ECVET, the learning outcomes, some examples of good practices as well as information regarding the recognition and validation of learning outcomes. Within the framework of the Learning Activity, the participants had an in depth analysis of more than 10 projects that were compared in terms of the methodology they used  for the implementation of ECVET as well as regarding other issues (e.g. Holistic Los).
Finally, the participants had the opportunity to attend presentations from experts on the area of EQF and ECVET.

During the framework of the Learning Activity, the following presentations have been made:

• Presentation from Mr. Andreas Eleftheriou, Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the National Qualifications Framework in Cyprus.

• Presentation form Mrs. Elisavet Voulgari, Human Resources Development Authority, responsible authority for policy making for Vocational Education and   Training, on the Standards for Vocational Qualifications in Cyprus.

• Presentation from Mr. Konstantinos Georgiou, Ministry of Education and Culture member of ECVET experts Committee, regarding the progress of ECVET    in Cyprus.

Dissemination of EUPA_NEXT by one to one meetings

cropped-eupalogo-next-BR-lower-n1.jpgpinIn November of 2015 DIMITRA one of the partners of the EUPA_NEXT project organized one to one meeting with three regional bodies, namely the Economic Chamber- section of Thessaly, the Association of Thessalian Industries & Enterprises (STHEV) and the Commercial Chamber of Larissa. The meetings took place at the city of Larissa and details about the project, its rationale and objectives and interview on the O1 questionnaire were analyzed and discussed.

On behalf of the chambers, Mr Emilios Ntagiannis represented the Economic Chamber- section of Thessaly District, Mr Apostolos Dontas represented STHEV and Mr Demetrios Adam represented the Commercial Chamber of Larissa.  

Kick Off Meeting for EUPA_NEXT

The project is Coordinated by the Cypriot Company M.M.C Management Centre.

The first transnational meeting of the project was implemented in Cyprus in October 2015. The project has duration of 3 years and is expected to be completed on September 2018. The first translational meeting was implemented between 05/10/2015 and 06/10/2015 at the offices of the coordinator in Nicosia.
